Hot Bubble Yoga & Cold Plunge at The Retreat

Hot Bubble Yoga

Hot bubble yoga

Step into our heated bubble of 105° and experience 90 minutes of guided movement through 26 carefully selected stretches designed to improve flexibility, balance, mobility, and overall well-being. With classes limited to just four guests, you’ll enjoy a personalized and peaceful atmosphere with plenty of space to move and relax.

After class, unwind with a chilled eucalyptus-infused facial towel, refreshing cucumber-mint water, and the option to cool down with a revitalizing cold plunge while taking in the beauty of the Texas Hill Country.

This seasonal experience is offered May through September, with morning sessions at 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM when the bubble is at its most comfortable and serene.

Perfect for beginners and experienced practitioners alike, this intimate wellness experience is designed to leave you feeling refreshed, energized, and renewed. ✨

Small group size • Maximum 4 guests • Seasonal May–September

Cold Plunge

Outdoor deck with bubble tent and hot tub at sunset.

1. Reduced Muscle Soreness and Recovery

Cold water can:

  • Reduce post-exercise soreness.
  • Decrease inflammation and swelling.
  • Help people feel recovered faster after intense physical activity.

2. Improved Mood and Alertness

Cold water triggers:

  • Norepinephrine release.
  • Increased alertness.
  • A sense of energy and accomplishment.

Many people report feeling calmer, happier, and more focused afterward.

3. Stress Resilience

Regular exposure to manageable cold can help people practice staying calm under stress:

  • Controlled breathing.
  • Mental focus.
  • Tolerance for discomfort.

This is one reason cold plunges are popular in wellness programs.

4. Contrast Therapy (Heat → Cold)

  • Heated yoga/stretching (100–105°F)
  • Cool or cold immersion (55–68°F)

This creates a dramatic contrast that many people find:

  • Relaxing
  • Energizing
  • Restorative

It can also help reduce the feeling of overheating after the class.
